Are you a business owner or webmaster looking for ways to create a business profile for you in Google+ ? Read further to learn how to setup a business profile in Google Plus.

Google made an announcement that Google+ is not ready for business profile pages yet. Facebook pages are the hangout place in the web for businesses, brands and websites, but Google+ is lacking this great feature, keeping the business users confused.

In a recent announcement, Google made it clear that their policy team will find and remove any business profile pages. Many companies and website owners already set up business pages using personal profiles. But be prepared to lose your profile pages!

Today, +Christian Oestlien, the "Ads Lead" from the Google+ Project team posted in his Google+ stream:

We have a great team of engineers actively building an amazing
Google+ experience for businesses, and we will have something to
show the world later this year.

The business experience we are creating should far exceed the
consumer profile in terms of its usefulness to businesses. We
just ask for your patience while we build it. In the meantime, we
are discouraging businesses from using regular profiles to
connect with Google+ users. Our policy team will actively work
with profile owners to shut down non-user profiles.

He has made it very clear that business profiles are not allowed in Google+ yet. Google is currently testing the business profile feature with a small group of business owners.

If you are keen on creating a business profile or a page for your website in Google+, you can try to be part of this group and register toparticipate in the Google+ for Business.

Here is the link to register for beta testing Google+ for Business: http://goo.gl/zq95C.

The above URL is case sensitive and will redirect to a Google Spreadsheet. So, make sure you will type it with correct case. If you are not able to find the page with the above link, try this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?hl=en_US&formkey=dFkzbnZoVXVDMkJ1dmlXbjh0Q09MS1E6MQ&ndplr=1#gid=0

Obviously they want to take advantage of the "Forms" feature in Google Spreadsheet and like to show case the strength of Google Docs.

HI,

Thanks for posting nice article.

But I think If google+ wants to fight with facebook then business profile should be allowed in google+.

As in facebook, I can promote my business using facebook page and allow user to access my site using facebook apps.

So, I think this functionality should be in google+.
